Professional Home Builders of Augusta asks the Question "Isn’t it about time"?
Isn't it about time a builder's resume reflects a history of CONSTRUCTION...
John A. Lifsey, born and raised in Augusta, graduated from Middle Georgia College in 1977 with an Associate in Arts before entering the construction field full time. Since then he has supervised construction at manufacturing and chemical plants in the area. He has been involved in numerous commercial and industrial construction projects such as the Southern Eye Center on Troupe Street, the NutraSweet Plant project, and Woodside Plantation's first Country Club in Aiken, South Carolina. John managed the Electrical Maintenance Department for Dillingham International / ABB SUSA joint venture in Gianaklees, Egypt for the US Corps of Engineers' Peace Vector IV from 1992 to 1995. In 1997 John joined his father's company, The Lifsey Group, Inc. and transferred all of the construction knowledge he had learned throughout the years into residential construction. In 2004 John joined John and created Professional Home Builders of Augusta.
John H. Grubb left the Virginia hills for the United States Army. John spent 13 years in field artillery and as a scout specialist. Being well seated in construction growing up in his father's construction company John was well prepared once he ventured out on his own as a roofing contractor. His successful business was eventually sold and John took the position as a manager for ABC Supply Company. John moved from there to a lumber sales position with 84 Lumber Company where he stayed until he and John Lifsey united.
Both John Grubb and John Lifsey are licensed (by test) and bonded in both Georgia and South Carolina. Both have achieved the Certified Graduate Builder designation through the National Association of Home Builders. John Lifsey holds a International Code Congress (ICC) builders license, which is recognized in many municipalities throughout the United States. Our membership roster includes the Builders Association of Metro Augusta, the Aiken County Home Builders Association, and the National Association of Home Builders, and the Better Business Bureau.
We are not "hand me down" construction boys nor are we somebody trying to make a fast buck building houses. We're professional home builders building homes the way they are supposed to be built. RIGHT!
